Monday!

It's Monday and I do apologise for neglecting my piece of internet for the last week or so. Life has just been so busy!

Lately I've been:

- Attending weddings. They should make it a sport! I've attended 2 weddings over the last 2 weekends, and have number 3 coming up this weekend. A wedding hat trick!

- Cooking (and looooving it!) Last night's effort was Pioneer Woman's pasta with roasted red pepper sauce. So yummy! And so good for me!

- Getting back on track at Weight Watchers. I joined up a few weeks ago and in a matter of 2 weeks, I lost 3.1kg. And then I got slack. Now I'm back on it and feeling happy. Hoping to start shrinking crazily soon enough!

- Looking after a sick puppy. Cupcake ate himself a pen last week and apparently poisoned himself. Luckily, an injection and a week of antibiotics later, he's just fine. Whew.

- Visiting the Spud Shed, a fresh produce warehouse near us. Their fruit and veg are amazing, huge, and cheap! I found snow peas longer than my fingers, apples the size of my hand and a mushroom the size of my head! Great fun! Plus the husband was in meat heaven ;)

- Saving moneys. Isn't it hard???

- Day-dreaming and looking forward to my family's upcoming trip to Karri Valley. I haven't taken a break in the last year, and I'm sooo excited to trek away to the bush, sit reading in front of the fire, and cook with my Mum and sisters. Joy!

- Event-planning. Lately I've just had the urge to spend time with people. I'm busying myself filling up everyone's social calendars. So far on the agenda: a Mudcake craft day (finally!!!), a ladies' luncheon with some new friends, and a pre-teen pyjama party with some friends from the old Church. I'm so excited!

- Having weird dreams. Nothing new here. But man, I don't know what the heck is with my head! Sleep is adventurous, I can say that much.

We Turned 4 xxoo

This is a really old picture, but that's the best kind right?

Yesterday Chris and I turned 4! When I think back to that most awkward night of my life 4 years ago, I can't help but smile. It all started over a cup of coffee between friends, late one night in an ice cream shop, and we pretty much didn't make eye contact throughout The Big Feelings Talk. But I'd say it turned out fairly well!

So how did we spend our 4-year dating anniversary? Well, I had my hair done and cooked for my friends who are coming over tonight. And Chris had dinner with our friend Simon till late. Romantic, right? Ha. However, this Friday Chris has major plans. Soooo excited!

Sick Day

Chris and I are both home sick today. This pretty much never happens - we don't tend to share our diseases! We're pretty much just sitting on the couch, dosed up on Codral, watching movies, using copious amounts of tissues and feeling sorry for ourselves. The highlight of the day is going to be when my lovely Mum drops off some of her very delicious chicken and vegetable soup! We're lucky kids.
We're also splurging on pepperoni pizza for lunch. Shhhh!

The Glove Hunt

Yesterday was the first day of Winter and lately I've noticed... it's darn cold! It all came to a head this morning when I was attempting some very simple crochet before work. Cold fingers = clumsy, loose, giant-sized stitches. Ugh. A few years ago I went through a bit of a fingerless glove craze and ended up with some very cute pairs! Sadly, when I got married and moved house a year and a half ago, my collection became compromised. Most pairs seem to have been split in half, rendering the gloves I did manage to hold onto fairly pointless without their partner!

Today I've been hunting for a pair to keep my hands warm over the next few months, and have found some pretties:
